The Design agency Contrast approached me to create a short video that embodies their brand’s look and feel — something impactful, whilst staying true to their already striking identity.

The video was designed for dual use: to make an impression as a homepage header and to drive engagement on social media. The brief was for something edgy but editorial which drew a strong connection between text and animation to reinforce their brand messaging.

To achieve this I used footage to add a human touch and kept the motion frenetic to balance the clean, refined graphics. I avoided using any animated graphics to prevent it feeling too 'cute'. To ground the graphic clarity with a human touch, I layered in carefully selected footage — introducing a sense of grit and texture that complements Contrast’s bold visual language.
